Milwaukee Bicycle Accident Attorneys
Getting Bike and Pedestrian Accident Victims the Most Money
Cycling is one of the fastest growing recreational activities in America and offers numerous fitness and health benefits. Unfortunately, an inattentive motorist, a poorly maintained trail, or a failure of the bicycle frame or its components can quickly turn a fun ride into a serious, even life-altering, bicycle accident. Injured cyclists have a right to seek reimbursement for their medical bills and the pain they’ve endured, as do the families of cyclists who have been killed by motorists. Warshafsky Law takes these cases very seriously and considers it our responsibility to achieve the highest possible financial awards for our clients.
INJURED? It IS About The Money.®
The Milwaukee personal injury attorneys of Warshafsky Law Firm have handled many cases involving bicyclists being injured in auto accidents. Whether it is a drunk driver, inattentive driver, a driver distracted by talking on a cell phone or even a driver who thinks cyclists have no business being on the road and is out to teach them a lesson—we have seen and heard it all. One thing always remains the same: Injured cyclists and pedestrians need the best to effectively handle a claim against the offending driver and his/her insurance company. That firm? Warshafsky Law, of course. We know accidents come in all forms, but each are traumatic in their own way. If you or a loved one have been struck by a motorcycle, car, or large truck, you need our legal team on your side.
Warshafsky Law Does More to Ensure Maximum Compensation
The personal injury attorneys of Warshafsky Law know how to get the highest possible monetary awards from liable parties. This includes scrambling to get our private investigators out to the scene of the accident as quickly as possible, since much of the evidence in bicycle vs. car accidents is often cleaned up or easily removed shortly after the accident takes place. If there is any on-site evidence to be found, however, we will find it, document it, preserve it and use it to your advantage. We will also look for eyewitnesses to the accident and document what they witnessed.
A significant point of difference between Warshafsky Law and other personal injury law firms lies in the fact we prepare every case for all-out litigation from day one. Many law firms are all too quick to recommend settling with an insurance company. Although you receive your compensation quickly, it is rarely ever anything remotely close to the amount you should receive. These “settlement mill” law firms are really only concerned with getting cases settled quickly and moving on to the next one. Not Warshafsky. Our objective is always to secure the maximum financial award or settlement possible. Since we are only paid after a settlement or judgment is reached in your case, you can understand how our own paychecks are dependent on winning—and winning big—for you.
Experienced Milwaukee Bicycle Accident Attorneys Make the Difference
The Milwaukee personal injury attorneys at Warshafsky Law Firm have represented countless bicyclists injured by inattentive automobile drivers. Whether it is a drunk driver, a driver in a parked car unexpectedly flinging open his car door, a driver distracted by texting on her cell phone, or a driver who causes injury by failing to respect the right of way of a bicyclist call Warshafsky.
Regardless of the extent of your injuries, you need an expert Milwaukee personal injury law firm to handle your claim against the offender and/or his insurance company. Often the evidence in crashes involving bicycles and cars is moved or destroyed very soon after an accident. Evidence preservation can be a considerable factor in maximizing your financial compensation. Our private investigators draw on years of expertise in preserving evidence to ensure the best possible outcome in your case.
Bicycle Accident Attorneys Fight Hard For Cyclists
No one is going to fight harder for you than the attorneys of Warshafsky Law. Our Wisconsin bicycle accident lawyers know how to get the most money from insurance companies and other liable parties and stop at nothing to achieve this. Unlike many firms who are quick to recommend a settlement offer from the opposing side’s insurance company, Warshafsky is prepared to take every case to trial in order to maximize the money our clients get. During settlement talks, our opponents know we are dead serious about them to court and usually respond with uncharacteristically generous offers of settlement. If we think it’s reasonable, we’ll let you know. If we think you can fare better in court, you can count on us being 100% ready to make mincemeat of the other side.
No-Fee Legal Services For Cyclists Until Your Claim Has Been Paid
hen people choose their Wisconsin personal injury lawyer based on the endorsement of a football player or actor, they risk choosing an attorney who has never won more money in a courtroom. Settlement mills forward your paperwork and take a cut of your damages.
Hundreds of times we have prepared cases like yours beyond the brink of trial. Facing unlimited liability AND an expensive jury trial, insurance companies fess up what your case is worth. They HATE when you choose Warshafsky. Insurance companies know: it IS about the money.
Faced with medical bills for your injuries, and possibly years of physical therapy as well, we understand you’re not exactly flush with cash after an accident. As with all our personal injury lawsuit cases, Warshafsky Law does not require payment for anything until either a judgment or settlement in your case is reached. Since our pay is determined by how much of an award you receive, you can understand how motivated we are to ensure you get the maximum possible award for damages.

Concussions, Broken Bones, Brain Injuries—Someone Has To Pay
If you have been injured in a bicycle accident, or as a pedestrian, you very likely have some serious injuries and will require some expensive medical care. Chances are the bills are already piling in. Clearly, you are going to need the best bicycle and pedestrian crash attorneys you can get—ones who will get you maximum compensation for your injuries, as well as for the pain and suffering you have endured.
Whether you ride a regular bicycle, quad bike, electric bike, dirt bike, mountain bike, motorbike, or tandem bicycle, there’s always a danger of getting hurt. An uneven road could cause you to fall. A car, motorcycle, or another bike could run into you. You could hit a pedestrian. Despite how often safety is preached, many people still bike without helmets, making any accident potentially much more serious.
The injuries and wounds sustained in a bicycle accident can range from a few scrapes and bruises to severe head injury and death. Whether you think you were at fault or someone else caused the accident, it is worth it for our experts to thoroughly investigate and determine exactly what happened. If you were riding at night or racing around corners, it is possible unsafe road conditions or poor visibility caused the accident, and those responsible for maintaining the area may be responsible. No matter what happened, your medical bills are looming overhead, and we can help you get the money to pay them off. Talk to our Milwaukee personal injury lawyers if you’ve suffered an injury in a bike accident:
- Head injury causing concussion or brain damage
- Broken bones
- Knee injury
You may walk away from the accident with only some soreness from the impact, like neck pain, back pain, wrist pain, knee pain, and headaches. However, the pain and injuries could become a more serious problem, so it is important to take note of any injuries and pain, no matter how minor they seem at the time.
The good news is that retaining Warshafsky Law won’t cost you a thing until you have received compensation for your injuries, since we are only paid on a percentage of the final settlement or judgment. Your initial consultation with us is free, so why not take advantage of this to learn how we would handle your case and what you could reasonably expect in a settlement or judgment?
What to Do after a Bike Accident
The events immediately following a bicycle accident can impact a resulting lawsuit, whether the accident was with a pedestrian, a car, a motorcycle, or just you. When you’re in a bike accident with a car, try to stay calm and clear-headed in the aftermath.
Wait for Police
First, wait for the police to arrive. You may not realize you’re injured until later due to adrenaline. If you leave the scene before the police get there, and later realize you’re hurt, it can be much harder to identify the driver. Also wait for the police before trying to negotiate with the driver of the car so they can document everything that happens in their report.
If you were involved in an accident and the driver fled, stay at the scene and wait for the police. Give an accurate report of every detail you remember, especially if you were able to see the car’s license plate number.
Second, make sure your version of events makes it into the accident report, not just the driver’s. Report every injury, even if it seems minor, because it could worsen.
Third, get contact information from witnesses and from the driver, plus the driver’s license number, license plate, and insurance information.
Fourth, make a mental note of everything you can remember about the crash and, as soon as you’re able to, write it all down. Documented notes of what happened; how, when, and where it happened; and weather, traffic, and road conditions are more reliable than your memory. In the days and weeks following the accident, if you remember more details, notice more or worsening injuries, or lose the benefit of hours at work, job opportunities, school or classes, and other events, add the information to your notes.
Fifth, get medical attention even for minor injuries. This way there is a medical record proving you were injured and documenting your injuries. Take photos of our injuries as soon as possible, as well.
Sixth, keep your bike, helmet, clothes, and any other equipment in the condition they’re in after the accident to preserve the evidence. Don’t have anything cleaned, inspected, or repaired. Take photos of all damage.
