Warshafsky Attorneys Trower and LaFave Selected to 2027 Super Lawyers List

Congratulations to Warshafsky Law Firm attorneys Keith Trower and Krista LaFave on their selections to the 2027 Wisconsin Super Lawyers list! The legal community throughout Wisconsin nominated them and determined that they belong at the top.

The Super Lawyers list recognizes the top five percent of attorneys in each state. No matter how many attorneys are practicing in Wisconsin in a given year, only five percent make the list. So, when we say Krista and Keith were selected, we mean they cleared a bar that the vast majority of Wisconsin attorneys did not.

What Does Being Selected to the Super Lawyers List Mean?

The Super Lawyers selection process is patented and multiphase. Peer nominations and evaluations are combined with independent research, and each candidate is assessed across twelve indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Attorneys cannot nominate themselves. Out-of-firm nominations carry more weight than in-firm ones. And the whole process is run annually, state by state.

Who Is Keith E. Trower?

Attorney Keith E. Trower represents individuals and families in personal injury matters involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, wrongful death, and other negligence claims. He began his legal career clerking in Milwaukee County Circuit Court, then moved to Chicago to work for an insurance defense and coverage firm. He now applies that experience from the judicial system and the insurance defense world directly to his representation of injured clients pursuing claims against insurance companies.

Keith currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the Milwaukee Bar Association’s Courts Committee, a role that keeps him engaged with the courts and judicial processes in Milwaukee County on an ongoing basis. He lives on the North Shore with his family and coaches youth sports in his time away from the office. That grounded, community-connected approach is part of who he is, not just something for a bio page.

Who Is Krista G. LaFave?

Attorney Krista G. LaFave joined Warshafsky in 2016, and her practice covers personal injury, products liability, and appellate work. She came in with a background that gives her a real advantage in personal injury litigation. She clerked at Milwaukee County Circuit Court, served as a judicial extern for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, and spent time representing insurance companies before joining Warshafsky eager to represent people who were injured instead. Understanding how insurance carriers think, and how courts analyze cases from the inside, shapes the way she builds a claim and anticipates the other side’s arguments.

Krista is actively involved in several legal and professional organizations, including the Milwaukee Bar Association and the American Association for Justice. She has served as president of the Association for Women Lawyers and was appointed as a representative from the Wisconsin State Bar to the American Bar Association. She also serves as the Municipal Court Judge for the City of Wauwatosa, a role to which she was elected.
